Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: August 8, 2026

In short: When you click "Visit Community" and join, we may earn a commission from that community. It costs you nothing extra, and it never changes how we rate, rank, or describe any community. This is how the site stays free.

1. How CommunityReviewer makes money

CommunityReviewer participates in affiliate and referral programs with some of the communities listed on this site. When you click an outbound link (such as a "Visit Community" button) and join that community, we may receive a commission from the community's owner. You never pay more because of this — the commission comes out of the community's side.

2. Which links are affiliate links

Outbound community links may be affiliate links. When they are, you'll see a disclosure near the button, such as: "We may earn a commission if you join through this link." Not every community has an affiliate arrangement with us; where there is none, the link simply goes to the community's page and we earn nothing.

3. What affiliate relationships never affect

Communities with no affiliate arrangement are listed, rated, and described by exactly the same standards as communities with one.

4. Partner arrangements

If a community owner and CommunityReviewer enter a special partnership (for example, agreed referral terms), that community's profile remains subject to the same review, rating, and editorial standards as every other listing. Sponsored placements, if ever introduced, will be clearly labeled.

5. Why we disclose this

We believe in the Federal Trade Commission's guidance on endorsements and clear disclosure — and more simply, you deserve to know how a review site pays its bills before you trust it. Our long-term business depends on you being able to trust what you read here, which is worth more to us than any single commission.
